I’m Brendan Steed, a masters student and sessional instructor in the University of Victoria’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The focus of my upcoming thesis, supervised by Dr. Heath Emerson, is a problem in noncommutative geometry. UVic is also where I completed my B.S.H. in mathematics, writing an honours thesis under Dr. Jane Ye. My general interests include geometry, analysis, topology, mathematical education, and, in my free time, goaltending for the UVic Lacrosse Club or camping around the island.
