The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control’s (BCCDC) COVID-19 Young Adult Taskforce was commissioned by Dr. Réka Gustafson, Vice-President, Public Health and Wellness and Deputy Provincial Health Office, Provincial Health Services Authority with contributions from the Office of the Provincial Health Officer. Our team engaged in an evidence-based report summarizing the pandemic’s disruption to 18-29-year-olds across Canada and the impacts to the lifelong health and well-being of young adults and their communities across BC.The BCCDC report provided recommended areas of action to address the far-reaching, negative impacts of the pandemic and support young people as they re-establish their finances, careers, and futures.
