Her main teaching area is photography, however Emily\u2019s art practice also involves sculpture, video, and installation. Leslie is a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS), and the Canadian Society for Painters in WaterColour (CSPWC). Leslie holds a Master of Education in Art Education and teaches with the Art Education Department at the University of Victoria. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in studio art and education from University of Saskatchewan, University of Manitoba, and University of Victoria. Regan is the recipient of national and international teaching awards, and she is a sessional lecturer at University of Victoria. She craves being outside \u2013 walking in the woods, kayaking or painting \u2013 the natural world is a subject matter that calls to her. As an instructor, she is very interested in helping students, even the absolute beginners, find the subjects and individual forms of expression that suit their unique personalities and express their own thoughts and feelings.
