The theoretical side of this lab explores the neural mechanisms that underlie human learning and decision-making while the applied side utilizes mobile neuroimaging technology to solve real-world problems. My goal is to integrate my kinesiology background and interest in applied neuroscience to focus on neurorehabilitation post-graduation. This JCURA project has allowed Adriel to develop new skills in research, including data analysis, procedure development, and other general technical skills. Growing up in a French Canadian family, she has always been passionate about advancing her French language skills in British Columbia. Through her studies in the French department, she has been able to explore a variety of disciplines, including children’s literature studies. This project was inspired by the messages hidden in the books, which demonstrate how children’s books can provide insight into the ideologies of a time.
