<\/b>The Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Awards (JCURA) program was established in 2009-2010 by the Vice-President Academic and Provost. This UVic award encourages undergraduates to pursue innovative and original research while providing a valuable preparatory experience towards graduate studies or a research related career.\u00a0 Award recipients undertake research under the mentorship of a faculty supervisor<\/p>\n

Successful student applicants receive $1,500 credited directly to their UVic student account<\/strong>. The award does not translate into hours of work. It is an award and not a research assistantship.
