Create media<\/span><\/h3>\n

Echo360 allows students to record high quality videos and upload existing files to existing assignments and quizzes. This includes, video tutorials, powerpoint presentations, and other media files.<\/span><\/p>\n

Existing media might include recordings made in Zoom or teams, previously recorded video tutorial files, powerpoint presentations, etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Brightspace, navigate to your Echo360 Library by selecting <\/span>Course Tools<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and then selecting\u00a0<\/span>Echo360 Library<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from the dropdown menu.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To upload a file to your Library<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Click\u00a0<\/span>Create<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click\u00a0<\/span>Upload Media<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. At the following screen, select the file(s) that you want to upload. <\/span>You may select one or multiple files for upload.<\/li>\n
  4. Cick Upload<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The upload window changes to provide an upload progress bar. When finished, the window disappears. <\/span>IMPORTANT: <\/span><\/b>DO NOT close the upload window before the upload(s) completes. <\/span>This will cancel the upload.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    The newly uploaded file appears in your Library but is dimmed while it is processed. You may need to refresh the page to see the newly uploaded file.<\/span><\/p>\n

    From the Brightspace homepage, click on Echo 360 Media<\/strong>, or click Echo 360 Media <\/strong>in Course Tools <\/strong>and choose “Create” and “New Capture.” This will prompt you to<\/span>\u00a0download the Universal Capture software for <\/span>Mac<\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<\/span>PC<\/span>. Once this has finished downloading:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Give your capture a title, description and tag.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Choose the quality of the capture<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Choose the inputs (audio, video etc.)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Click record<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Edit media
      <\/span><\/h3>\n

      Echo360 provides a basic, easy to use video editor for trimming and making cuts in your video content. When you edit a video, you can choose to publish changes to the original video or save the revised version as a new video. Please note that there is often a delay between when a video is uploaded \/ recorded and when the video and transcript are available for editing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
