The UVic Renewable Energy Club (UREC) is a multidisciplinary group of students dedicated to making a difference in the fight against climate change by addressing inefficiencies in renewable energy and sustainability. UREC has a competition stream and a projects stream, as well as support teams like communications and finance.<\/p>\n

This project is multidisciplinary, combining mechanical design, heat transfer, materials science, thermodynamics, and electrical systems integration.<\/p>\n

The project is multidisciplinary, combining fields such as mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, building design, electricity transmission, and more. The goal is to use the ample roof area and height provided by the large academic buildings on the UVic campus to generate electricity that can be stored for later use.<\/p>\n
