Applications are now open for the September 2026 cohort of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master LASCALA – Large Scale Accelerators and Lasers. Funded by the European Commission, this program is run by a consortium of leading European universities in physics: Paris-Saclay University (France), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), University of Salamanca (Spain), and Lund University (Sweden).

LASCALA is a two-year international Master’s program, who trains experts in accelerator physics, high-power lasers, high-intensity laser–plasma interactions, and gravitational wave detector physics. Students will graduate with a double or triple degree, depending on their mobility.

The program recruits outstanding students worldwide and offers approximately 12 Erasmus Mundus scholarships (€1,400/month), 12 tuition fee waivers as well as other type of funds.

  • Self-funded students: 30 April 2026
