The Student Advisory Council (SAC) of the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) is seeking students in physics or a closely related field to join their team.

The SAC advises the CAP Board of Directors on the needs and priorities of physics students and seeks to represent students from all backgrounds and all parts of Canada. Some of our projects and initiatives include: student advocacy to the CAP, physics problem competitions, a “Physics Hour” lecture series, engagement through our social media and website, and a national student interview process.

The Terms of Reference of the SAC and details of some of the SAC activities can be found at http://sac.cap.ca.

If you are interested in helping to guide the development of student services offered by the CAP and contributing to the SAC’s projects and initiatives, please submit your application at the SAC website. We especially welcome applicants who are interested in organizing events or creating social media content.

The closing date for applications is SEPTEMBER 5, 2023.

If you have not already joined the CAP, you will need to do so to become a member of the SAC. Membership is free for undergraduate students and free (for the first year) for graduate students.
