I’m Tyler Burton, a 3rd year Business student at the University of Victoria and a collegiate baseball player for the Victoria Golden Tide, dedicated to mentoring youth in sports, education, and community engagement. Drawing from my experience as a high-performance student-athlete in both baseball and hockey, I provide private baseball lessons and academic tutoring to nurture young athletes’ development on and off the field. My commitment goes beyond sports, as I strive to inspire and guide students in Victoria towards personal growth and making a positive impact in our community.<\/span><\/p>\n

My name is Tyler Burton! I am a 3rd year Business student at the University of Victoria and collegiate baseball player for the Victoria Golden Tide. Being part of the Canadian College Baseball Conference has been an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to compete at this level. Baseball has always been a massive part of my life, and I'm determined to share my love for the game with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Outside of my commitments to baseball and school, I have taken on an additional role as a co-founder of a non-profit organization called Off Brand Victoria. Our primary focus is on reducing food insecurity within our community. Through our dedicated team, we actively collect non-perishable food items with the aim of ensuring that everyone in our community has access to nutritious meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, my mission extends beyond merely providing food. I am passionate about inspiring children to engage in baseball and encouraging them to not only excel as athletes but also develop into well-rounded individuals. To achieve this, I offer private hitting lessons and the opportunity for youth baseball players to train alongside a collegiate athlete. I firmly believe in the transformative power of mentorship and guiding young athletes towards unlocking their full potential. By combining my love for baseball with my desire to address food insecurity, I hope to make a positive impact in both the sporting and social aspects of our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before university, I also competed in high-performance hockey, which taught me the value of dedication, teamwork, and hard work. Though my focus has shifted to baseball, I carry those lessons with me every day and apply them to all aspects of my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overall, I'm here to make a difference by sharing my passion for baseball and helping young athletes develop both on and off the field. Through my involvement with Off Brand Victoria and providing private hitting lessons, I aim to inspire kids, influence their lives positively, and guide them toward success. Life is about leaving a lasting impact, and I'm determined to contribute to the growth and development of young athletes in any way I can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
