In my professional career, I’ve made diverse contributions across various fields. I served as a groundskeeper at Gorge Vale Golf Club, co-founded a non-profit focused on food security within sports associations, and launched a successful Private Baseball Training and Student-Athlete Tutoring business for youth athletes in Victoria, BC. These roles highlight my multifaceted skills, from hands-on environmental management to entrepreneurial initiatives in sports and education.
Student-Athlete Tutoring
As a dedicated University of Victoria student and seasoned athlete, I have channeled my passion for sports and academics into a unique tutoring service designed specifically for student-athletes in Victoria, BC. My personal academic journey, marked by a 92% high school average and the honor of being named Academic Player of the Year in 2019, underlines my commitment to excellence.
My approach to tutoring is rooted in the belief that every student-athlete possesses untapped potential. My own transcript, with strong performances in subjects like English, Pre-Calculus, and Physics, is a testament to the effectiveness of the methods I teach. I have been recognized with over 9 Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards, a clear indication of my dedication and ability to excel scholastically.
Understanding the rigorous demands of student-athletes, I offer tailored, in-depth assessments and personalized learning strategies. This not only helps my students improve where they need it most but also empowers them to apply these skills independently. My aim is to ensure that each student-athlete I work with is able to achieve a balance that allows them to excel in their sport while achieving their academic goals.

Private Baseball Training
Since May 2023, as a college baseball athlete with a commitment to community involvement, I have successfully established and run a private baseball coaching business for young athletes aged 9 to 18. This venture combines my love for the sport with a desire to mentor and guide the next generation of players.
In each session, I conduct comprehensive player evaluations, pinpointing both strengths and areas for growth. This process not only showcases my problem-solving abilities but also highlights my talent in communicating complex ideas effectively to a diverse group of young athletes.
Beyond the training field, I engage in proactive and clear communication with both parents and players, offering guidance on college recruitment. My efforts have been instrumental in helping numerous athletes aspiring to secure scholarships and college placements, a testament to my in-depth knowledge and dedication to their success.

Gorge Vale Golf Club
During my time as a groundskeeper at the prestigious Gorge Vale Golf Club in Victoria, BC, from July 2022 to September 2023, I played a pivotal role in enhancing the course’s allure. My expertise in turf management was instrumental in revitalizing the greens, elevating them to pristine conditions. This meticulous work contributed to an unparalleled playing experience for the club’s over 800 discerning members, a testament to my commitment to excellence and detail.
My role at Gorge Vale Golf Club went beyond mere maintenance. I demonstrated exceptional self-motivation and adaptability, often working autonomously to ensure the highest standards were met. This independence in my work highlights my ability to thrive under minimal supervision, a crucial skill in any dynamic environment.
Moreover, I took on the responsibility of mentoring and training new employees in the operation of various heavy machinery. This initiative not only increased productivity but also significantly enhanced the operational efficiency of the golf course. Off Brand Victoria
In 2023, I proudly co-founded Off Brand Victoria, a dynamic non-profit focused on combating food insecurity in our community. This venture was born from a collaboration with a dedicated teammate, driven by our shared passion for fostering a healthier and more aware society.
Our journey saw us spearheading innovative initiatives and successful non-perishable food drives. We forged impactful partnerships with esteemed organizations such as the Victoria HarbourCats, Glory Softball, Players Club Baseball, Victoria Golden Tide Baseball, and the Grant Gilbertson Memorial Foundation. These collaborations not only amplified our efforts but also solidified our presence in the community as a force for positive change.
Our outreach extended to the academic sphere, engaging student societies at both the University of Victoria and Camosun College. Here, we ignited a spirit of philanthropy and community service, organizing food donations and promoting our mission to a younger, vibrant audience.
Moreover, we joined hands with local food banks, including the Community Fridge Victoria and the Little Free Pantry. This synergy with community-centric organizations enabled us to widen our impact, ensuring that our efforts reached those most in need.
