Hello! I am Tianhaozhe Sun – you can call me “Tian” for short (as all my friends do!).
I am a geophysicist interested in tectonic and geodynamic processes at plate boundaries, especially subduction zones. I study earthquakes, slow slip events, and related geohazards such as tsunamis. I try to combine cutting-edge observations (e.g., seafloor geodesy, borehole observatories) and numerical modelling to study how various geological and physical processes interact in governing fault mechanics, subduction forearc deformation and fluid flow, and large-scale crustal deformation over earthquake cycles.
