Well, it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? As we adjust to living much of our lives online – personal and professional – there’s an awful lot of new tech coming our way. How many of you had never heard of Zoom before March 2020? Now everyone seems to be Zooming: families, friends, colleagues… and all across the education spectrum, instructors and students. At UVic, we’ve adopted Zoom and provided licenses to all faculty, staff, and students. (I think that’s awesome!)
As we all learn more about Zoom and other new technologies, we are also developing resource materials at a blinding rate. Trouble is, who’s going to go re-read all those help pages as we learn new things and expand our recommendations? Heck, I wonder if they get read at all! Well, maybe blogs are your thing. Here’s hopin’.
I’m resurrecting this old blog to share tips and tricks on newly-adopted tech. One day I might get back to writing about my dog, but for now I’m kept pretty darn busy doing what I love to do – figuring out how this stuff works so you don’t have to.
Stay tuned for more on Zoom at UVic.
