I tell you, if every classical music performance was injected with Benjamin Zander’s infectious enthusiasm the concert halls would sell out with standing room only! Which would be okay – all the better for the inevitable ovation. Shining eyes indeed! I just want to be a guest in Mr. Zander’s living room where he plays his favourite musicĀ and helps me fall in love with it too. Did I enjoy this talk? You bet. See what you think.
This was a timely and clear talk about what is dividing us. Rabbi Sacks has a simple mind shift he’s asking us all to employ. It might just help us move from the “me” to the “we” that is needed to heal the world, regardless of your personal, political, or religious beliefs.
Unfortunately this is the second week that we’ve not had time to watch Celeste Headlee’s talk. I’ve included her here so that you remember to watch it on your own.
