{"id":24,"date":"2023-05-01T18:32:42","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T18:32:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/transprisonproject\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2025-07-22T18:41:32","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T18:41:32","slug":"get-involved","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/transprisonproject\/get-involved\/","title":{"rendered":"Get Involved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have completed interviews and focus groups in British Columbia and Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting participants in Quebec, the Atlantic Region, and Prairie Region of Canada.\u00a0 At this time, we are seeking three types of participants:<\/p>\n<p>1) Interview participants who are incarcerated adults in Quebec, the Atlantic Region, and Prairie Region of Canada.\u00a0 This includes anyone currently incarcerated in a Federal Institution, both Trans+ individuals and cisgender (or non-trans) individuals.<\/p>\n<p>2) Focus group participants who are Federal Correctional Services of Canada (CSC) staff, such as correctional officers, primary workers, Indigenous liaison officers, teachers, parole officers, Chaplins and health services staff working at any institution in Quebec, the Atlantic Region, and Prairie Region of Canada.<\/p>\n<p>3) Interview participants who are administrative or managerial staff working at any Federal institution in Quebec, the Atlantic Region, and Prairie Region of Canada.<\/p>\n<p>___________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">We acknowledge and respect the l\u0259k\u0313\u02b7\u0259\u014b\u0259n peoples on whose territory the University of Victoria stands, and the Songhees, Esquimalt and <u>W<\/u>S\u00c1NE\u0106 peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have completed interviews and focus groups in British Columbia and Ontario.
