Give us a sign

Language connects us to the world and to other people. During this pandemic, Nigel Howard has helped support these connections. Nigel is a UVic instructor and American Sign Language Interpreter who has been interpreting for the BC government. He makes important information accessible to Deaf people in BC who are ASL users. Nigel’s work has earned him thousands of fans, including one boy who thinks Nigel is a “real-life super hero.”
