In January 2011 (as limited-term assistant professor), I began my teaching responsibilities in the School of Nursing, University of Victoria. These responsibilities also include the development of two new courses (NURA 510, NURS 480), revision of two other courses (NUNP 597, NURS 425), and the development of blueprint and guidelines for the NURS 596 course with a team of colleagues.
Courses Taught
In Table 1 (linked or see Appendices), it is depicted the courses I taught from January 2011 to August 2014 (limited-term) and from July 2014 (tenure track appointment) to April 2017. Most of these courses were taught online. From July 2017 to June 2018 I was in a study leave.
Directed Studies
As a co-supervisor with Dr. Margaret Penning (Sociology) of a doctoral student (Nasrin Saleh) in Social Dimensions of Health, I co-taught a two-term long Directed Study (SDH 690; September-December 2014 & January-April 2015; 3 units). The topic was on social engagement of older adults, theories on aging and the scoping review method. After this directed study, Nasrin applied for transferring into the School of Nursing doctoral program, where I continue supervising her studies.
In Table 2 (linked or see Appendices), the directed studies that I have taught so far are described.
