
Teaching, the “central activity”[1] and method of education, has the goal to inspire behavioral change. As a responsible educator, I devote time for my own learning and education by attending and participating in workshops and activities for improving (and ways to achieve) my teaching effectiveness such as
- Open access publication policy and UVic resources organized by the UVic Office of Research Services (ORS) and presented by Inba Kehoe, Copyright Officer and Scholarly Communication & Research Repository Librarian (March 2, 2016).
- Career progression workshop with Maureen Geldart – Academic Leadership Series organized by the Director, Academic Leadership Initiatives and Adviser to the Provost on Equity and Diversity, Vice-President Academic and Provost Office (January 29, 2016).
- Activities by the Institute on Aging & Lifelong Health – IALH (former Center on Aging – COAG) as a Research Affiliate (2011-2016).
- Career progression workshop by A. R. Elangovan (Elango) – Academic Leadership Series organized by the Director, Academic Leadership Initiatives and Adviser to the Provost on Equity and Diversity, Vice-President Academic and Provost Office (March 13, 2015).
