Lucas graduated from the University of Victoria in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He completed an 8-month co-op at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency in 2023, which sparked his interest in research. In September 2024, Lucas joined the Swayne lab as a Research Assistant, where he focuses on studying the effects of COVID-19 on the brain. Outside of the lab, Lucas enjoys playing soccer, rugby, golf, and tennis, as well as hiking and spending time with family and friends. Having grown up in various cities, he has developed a passion for traveling and enjoys meeting people from around the world.
