K’sana is a third-year Indigenous student at the University of Victoria, pursuing a BSc in Chemistry for Medical Sciences. She comes from the ‘Namgis, Gitxsan and Tsimshian First Nations. K’sana is the recipient of an International Brain Research OrganizationCentre for Brain Health Summer Research Internship Award for Canadian Indigenous Undergraduate Students. Her internship will be supervised by Laura Arbour and Leigh Anne Swayne and will focus on the neurological aspects of the ankyrin-B project. Outside of the lab, K’sana enjoys cooking, reading and spending time in nature.
