I am thrilled to announce the official launch of the Sadownik Neuro-Inclusive Research Foundation / Fondation de recherche neuro-inclusive Sadownik, which was formally submitted for incorporation under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act on February 9, 2026.
Our foundation is dedicated to pioneering research that bridges the gap between technology and neurodiversity. Our mission is to advance education and psychological safety in Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) by developing the Neurodivergent Scale for Interacting with Robots (NSIR), establishing neuro-inclusive industry standards, and providing specialized educational consultancy.
Why Now?
The rapid acceleration of AI and robotics presents a critical opportunity to redefine how we interact with technology. We believe that incorporating neurodivergent voices into research is not just an ethical imperative—it is essential for true innovation.
Our Core Focus Areas:
- Accessible AI: Developing guidelines for AI tools that support diverse cognitive processing.
- Neuro-Inclusive HRI: Creating research frameworks designed to reduce anxiety and increase autonomy for neurodivergent individuals.
- Emancipatory Research: Centering lived experiences to ensure technology cannot be co-opted to exploit, coerce, or improperly manipulate neurodivergent individuals.
