This event, which is in celebration of <a href=\"https:\/\/oeweek.oeglobal.org\/\">Open Education Week 2024<\/a>, is a panel discussion between UVic authors who have created open textbooks. After the panel discussion, there will be an opportunity for informal discussion over some light refreshments. This is a hybrid event, taking place in the<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/dsc\/hours-and-location\/\"> Digital Scholarship Commons<\/a> and over Zoom. All are welcome!<\/p>\n<p>We are thrilled to have Dr. Rosalie Starzomski, Natalie Boldt, and Dr. Lijun Zhang joining us as panelists!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/hsd\/nursing\/people\/faculty\/profiles\/starzomski.php\">Dr. Rosalie Starzomski<\/a> is Professor Emeritus at the School of Nursing. Her open textbook \u2013 co-written with Dr. Janet Storch and Dr. Patricia Rodney \u2013 is titled <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.18357\/9781550587128\"><em>Toward a Moral Horizon: Nursing Ethics for Leadership and Practice, 3rd\u00a0Edition<\/em><\/a>. It is available for download via UVicSpace (the university\u2019s institutional repository).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/humanities\/english\/graduate\/studentprofiles\/boldt-natalie.php\">Natalie Boldt<\/a>, a co-author of <a href=\"https:\/\/pressbooks.bccampus.ca\/whywriteguide2e\/\"><em>Why Write? A Guide for Students in Canada 2nd Edition<\/em><\/a> will also be joining us as a panelist.
