{"id":2834,"date":"2022-04-25T05:40:30","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T12:40:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/scholarlycommunications\/?p=2834"},"modified":"2024-04-16T11:28:39","modified_gmt":"2024-04-16T18:28:39","slug":"2022-otessa-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/scholarlycommunications\/2022\/04\/25\/2022-otessa-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"2022 OTESSA Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/scholarlycommunications\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1718\/2022\/04\/OTESSA-flyer-8.5x11-v4.pdf\">OTESSA-flyer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We are excited to announce that the second international conference of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/otessa.org\/\">Open\/Technology in Education, Society, and Scholarship Association (OTESSA)<\/a>\u00a0will be held\u00a0<strong>ONLINE<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Congress of the Humanities and the Social Sciences between\u00a0<strong>May 16-20, 2022<\/strong>\u00a0with co-chairs: Aras Bozkurt (Anadolu University, Turkey), Terry Greene (TrentU, Canada), and Kathy Snow (UPEI, Canada).<\/p>\n<p>Please visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/otessa.org\/\">otessa.org<\/a>\u00a0for more information.\u00a0We welcome submissions pertaining to\u00a0<strong>educational technology<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>online learning<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>blended or hybrid learning<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>multi-access learning<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>open education<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>digital and open scholarship<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>intersections<\/strong>\u00a0where technology and openness intersect with education, society, or scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>We were pleased to be approaching 200 participants this year already and thank BCcampus, eCampusOntario, CampusManitoba, LearnQuebec, Trent University, and the University of Victoria for supporting\u00a0OTESSA\u00a0as we build and grow. We are on a growth trajectory and are excited to welcome more into our community!<\/p>\n<p>Our call for proposals is closed, but we did save some space for late additions on a first-come\/first-reviewed basis until they are full. More information can be found on our <a href=\"https:\/\/conference.otessa.org\/index.php\/conference\/about\/submissions\">OTESSA Conference Submission and Proceedings website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We support both\u00a0<strong>research-oriented and practice-oriented sessions<\/strong>. Although not required, we have options for short papers to be submitted for review and published in our proceedings (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/conference.otessa.org\/index.php\/conference\/issue\/view\/1\">2021 Proceedings Issue<\/a>) or full papers for publication in our new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journal.otessa.org\/\">OTESSA\u00a0Journal<\/a>. Please check out\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journal.otessa.org\/index.php\/oj\/issue\/view\/1\">Volume 1 Issue 1<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journal.otessa.org\/index.php\/oj\/issue\/view\/2\">Volume 1 Issue 2<\/a>\u00a0of our journal from 2021.
