The Office of Copyright and Scholarly Communications at UVic Libraries would like to congratulate the six UVic scholars who made Clarivate’s 2023 Highly Cited Researcher List, as announced by the Office of the Vice-President Research & Innovation in their November Bulletin. Highly Cited Researchers are those individuals who have published multiple papers that are in the top 1% of all citations, as determined by Clarivate’s Web of Science database.
The six UVic scholars who made 2023’s list are Tom Gleeson (Civil Engineering), Ryan Rhodes (Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education), Makhsud Saidaminov (Electrical and Computer Engineering), Marie-Ève Tremblay (Medical Sciences), Xuebin Zhang (Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium), and Francis Zwiers (Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium).
We are delighted to say that select publications from all these incredible scholars are freely available in UVicSpace (see links below), our research and learning repository! Publications housed in UVicSpace are open access and can be read by anyone around the globe.
Check out these researchers’ UVicSpace collections at the links below. The numbers in brackets indicate how many publications each scholar currently has in the repository:
- Tom Gleeson (28)
- Ryan Rhodes (94)
- Makhsud Saidaminov (5)
- Marie-Ève Tremblay (11)
- Xuebin Zhang (2)
- Francis Zwiers (4)
Adding your research to UVicSpace is a great way to increase its reach and impact. Depositing also allows you to comply with Tri-Agency Open Access funding mandates and preserve your research long term.
Another great way to record, share, and move your scholarly information is to set up an ORCID iD. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a unique personal identifier which gives you credit for your scholarly work. Tom Gleeson, Ryan Rhodes, Makhsud Saidaminov, Marie-Ève Tremblay, Xuebin Zhang, and Francis Zwiers all have ORCIDs!
Are you interested in joining adding your scholarly outputs to UVicSpace and ORCID? The Copyright and Scholarly Communications Office is happy to help UVic faculty members with both of these endeavours. Please contact us at scholcom@uvic.ca if you would like some assistance!
