T 1.1: Strategic Decision Making, Project Development, and Financing

We acknowledge that our research takes place on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Secwepemctsín, Tŝilhqot’in Ch’ih / Nenqayni Ch’ih, Dakelh, Nuxalk, X̄enaksialak̓ala / X̄a’islak̓ala, Sm’algya̱x, X̱aad Kil / X̱aayda Kil, Lingít, Nisg̱a’a, Gitsenimx̱, Nedut’en / Witsuwit’en, Tse’khene, Dane-Ẕaa, Tāłtān, Danezāgé’, Dene-K’e, Southern Tutchone and Nēhiyawēwin peoples. The project is grounded by a commitment to long-term relationship-building between researchers and community partners through respect and trust. This starts with an acknowledgement of the diversity of Indigenous ancestral lands and cultures across this northern region.
