Beginning in Fall 2024, the research team will be supporting virtual and in-person community-level conversations. The goal of this initial engagement is to identify each community’s unique energy priorities, key barriers faced, and potential pathways for community energy transformation. Findings from the community-level conversations will help to inform the content and structure of the Regional Energy Dialogues.
The team will be convening Regional Energy Dialogues across northern BC throughout 2025. The goal of the workshops is to facilitate peer learning amongst participating communities, build collective regional action across northern BC, and strengthen community capacity. Travel support will be provided to ensure that community representatives are able to participate in these regional-level conversations.
The Guiding Documents page serves as the central repository for foundational materials shaping the Northern Regional Energy Dialogues project. These documents include project guides, frameworks, and working papers that inform how dialogues are structured, how communities are engaged, and how energy transitions are approached across northern British Columbia.
