The Psychology Undergraduate Students (PUGS) is the Psychology Course Union recognized by the UVSS.

We seek to connect students in Psychology with each other, with their faculty, and with opportunities in the larger community. We also can serve as a liaison between students, these groups, and the UVSS.

Events in the past have included:

  • A trip to Galey Farms in October: corn maze, petting zoo, pumpkin picking, haunted house!

  • A Psychology Volunteer & Career Fair: local organizations set up and recruit students

  • Movie Nights: Movies and Free Snacks! We’ve watched Finding Dory, Hidden Figures, and the Big Sick.

  • Pizza and Games Night

  • Community Hikes: A walk-and-talk up Mt. Doug to get some fresh air.

  • Pool night at Peacock Billiards

  • Recruitment and Training for Capital Physicians Group: Students received first-aid certification and harm reduction training to work in field hospitals set up by CPG at sporting events and music festivals.

  • And more!
