A Twitter love/life letter from Kelly Boucher

The below Tweet is from Kelly Boucher, a pedagogical facilitator in Melbourne, Australia. A few of us have had the opportunity to meet with her a few years ago. Her message is lovely and acts as wonderful and much needed reminder for educators…. ?

  1. Thank you for sharing this, Sherri Lynn. Kelly’s voice sounds very soothing and her message, too is soothing and oh so reassuring. I had never thought of this before, but “children are on the frontlines too” is so true!

  2. Wow. That brought me back to where I am. The present. Being aware of what’s happening around me and in me – my body, myself, in my room, at home – and slowing down my thoughts. Such an incredibly important message. The affirmation. That someone understands and sees the work that educators do.
    Thank you for sharing, Sherri-Lynn!

  3. Wow, thank you for this incredibly uplifting, and supportive message. The calm reassuring sound of Kelly’s voice and the questions she asks us “Where is your breath? Where is your water? Where is your ground?” I found myself breathing deeply, drinking water, and feeling the ground with my feet in our office @ Salal Place. I appreciated her acknowledgement of us being “on the front line with the children “. I opened the window, and instantly I heard bird songs coming from the Haro Woods. This really lifted my spirits today. Thanks Sherri-Lynn, I will share with other ECE’S.

  4. What an incredible acknowledgement from Kelly Buchar. Really put into perspective where we are as ECEs. A reminder of how important we are, yet she reminds us,”to be mindful of our breath, drink water and to grounded”.

  5. Thanks Sherri-Lynn for the love letter it was a great reminder! I went outside this morning with my coffee ( morning nectar) and just sat listening to my breath and the sounds around me. Much needed moment ?

    1. Thanks for sharing this, Sherri-Lynn.

What a beautiful message from Kelly. Grounding. Affirming. Recentering. Acknowledging. She really has captured the complexities that we have been grappling with and reminds us of what is really important.
