Welcome to the UVic CCS Pedagogical Explorations homepage!
Pedagogical Explorations is an ongoing educational collaboration with the educators, children and pedagogists at UVic CCS. We draw on interdisciplinary, feminist perspectives and firmly situate our pedagogical approach within the past, present, and ongoing relations of what it means to work and live on Lkwungen and WSÁNEC territories.
Pedagogical Explorations is grounded in a commitment to think expansively about what is possible in early childhood pedagogy and curriculum, with a particular focus on collaboratively creating educational processes that respond to the times in which we live. This includes supporting educators’ engagements with the vision and principles of learning outlined in the BC Early Learning Framework. Pedagogical Explorations does not involve assessments of the children or the educators at the centre.
