A Day Trip to Goldstream Provincial Park
This past weekend my friend Mykaila and I visited Goldstream Provincial Park. Most UVic students seem to go within a few weeks of arriving in Victoria but this was my first time. It was the perfect day. The sun was shining, the air was crisp, and although it was the end of October, the fall colours were still beautiful. We hiked up to the trestles, but apparently there are several other trails in the park. I’ll have to go back! Here are some photos from our trip. Most of them were taken by Mykaila, who kindly allowed me to share them here.
Being outside with good company is one of my favourite ways to take a break from studying. And thankfully Goldstream is only about a 25-minute drive from Victoria so it’s easy to do a quick trip in the morning or afternoon. The best way to get there is with a car, but if you don’t own one, you can consider signing up for a car-sharing program like Zipcar or Modo (I recently signed up for Modo and love it so far). Or find a friend with a car and ask them to take you!
