5 reasons to explore the beaches in Victoria
The sun has been shining this April, and I have had a few amazing walks around my neighbourhood. It’s been a great way to get some fresh air in between paper writing and studying. I wanted to share some photos of my most recent adventure to Dallas Beach.
Dallas Beach is in walking distance from Fairfield, Fernwood, James Bay, Beacon Hill Park and Cook Street Village. Other beaches in Victoria include Willows Beach, Gonzales Beach, and Cadboro Bay Beach & Gyro Park (a short walk from UVic).
Here are my top reasons to go exploring!
1. Get your feet wet.
(My favourite beach for swimming  in the summer is Willows Beach, the rest of the year the water is a bit too cold for me!)
2. Check out the view.
3. Make new friends.
4. Go for a walk along the water.
5. Take a break from studying, or bring your studying with you.
Comment below with your top reasons to visit the beach! What are your favourite beaches in Victoria?
That dog photo is great! Such a cute expression!
Thanks Lindsay! This little dog happily posed while I took the photo. It was the cutest thing haha.
If you’re willing to trek all the way out to Colwood, Thetis Lake is a wonderful place for a walk.
Great tip Dylan! Thetis Lake is beautiful :). And accessible by bus which is nice!
– To Take pictures!
– To fly a kite! (Clover Point)
– To get fresh air/ exercise (walk/run, cycle along side the waterfront)
