The Dean’s Welcome Event at UVic Law is an exciting and informative day for both current and incoming students. This event is specifically for students who are in receipt of an offer of admission for September 2024. Attendees will enjoy presentations from Dean Kodar, alumni, current students, and faculty. This will be followed by a question and answer period, along with an opportunity to speak with clubs, staff, and others present one-on-one. Incoming students will find these presentations helpful in gaining insight into the philosophy and culture at UVic Law.
Light breakfast, coffee, and lunch will be served. A UVic campus tour will follow lunch. Organizers would appreciate knowing which meals attendees will join and whether they have any food allergies.
The dress code for the event is casual, with attendees welcome to wear anything they would wear to class or work. However, it’s recommended to dress in layers, as part of the day will be spent outside. While Victoria’s weather is not typically cold, it may be chilly or rainy.
