Helpful Links for Incoming Students

A right turn sign and a yield sign in the sun.

Welcome to UVic Law, incoming students! We are so happy to have you join us. September has such a wonderful energy for Fraser Building.

If you’re new here, you will have a lot of questions. Don’t be afraid to ask! In the meantime, here are a few things that might help you.

  • The layout of Fraser is pretty straightforward. When you walk in the main entrance, the front office is on the left. Admissions and Indigenous Initiatives are on the right. The stairwell is ahead of you. If you walk around the stairwell to the left, you will find staff offices, end-of-trip facilities, gender inclusive washrooms, the student lounge, and first floor classrooms. If you walk around the stairwell to the right, you will find the library.
  • Some classes are in the library. This map may make that a bit easier to navigate.
  • While law students find their classes are mostly in Fraser, sometimes they venture out for things like food and exercise. You can find a lot of UVic maps online, including this one.
  • How are you getting to class? If you are driving, it’s good to know that you will need a parking permit. If you bus, you can check out more about public transit.
  • The UVic campus has a variety of food and coffee choices.
  • Student Wellness Services support students’ mental, physical, and spiritual health.
  • Your ONECard is your official UVic ID and campus debit card.

The beginning of every school year is full of excitement. We can’t wait to see you Tuesday!
