Construction Progress!

Construction of the new National Centre for Indigenous Laws underway

Staff, faculty, and students at UVic Law have been keenly aware for a couple of years, that Fraser Hall has been under construction. We are all anticipating the completion of the National Centre for Indigenous Laws, housed within an expansion to Fraser Hall. The incoming class of 2024 will be the first class to graduate, having attended all of their time at UVic Law post-construction.

I took a brisk walk outside earlier this week on a sunny day and was pleasantly surprised to see some distinct progress on the construction. Giant, majestic posts, many created from the trees that once stood on site, were put in place this week, helping outline the already-in-place metal frame. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome this beautiful addition.
