Hello UVic Law Applicants!

Online applications are officially open as of September 1st, 2022!

We would like to note some changes to the admission cycle for September 2023:

  1. We no longer have a supporting documentation deadline. Instead, all applications are to be completed at the time of submission, which includes all supporting documentation, except for fall grades and reference letters (which are sent directly from your referee to lclerk2@uvic.ca).
  2. All supporting documentation (including reference letters), apart from fall grades, must be received no later than January 15th, 2023, at 4:00 pm PST. Any supporting documentation, with the exclusion of fall grades, will not be accepted after this date.
    • This does not include your LSAT score. The UVic Law Admissions Team will pull all LSAT scores (up to the January 2023 sitting) for first-year applicants.
  3. Fall grades can be uploaded to your application via My UVic Application until February 1st, 2023, at 4:00 pm PST. Any fall grades received after this date will not be accepted.
  4. Your application is not complete and will not be reviewed until confirmation that the UVic Law Admissions Equity & Diversity Survey has been completed. More information can be found here.

Stay tuned for more posts on how admissions at UVic Law works, updates on application status, and more!

Best of luck on your applications,

UVic Law Admissions Team

    Hi there,

Are we supposed to upload our fall grades to the UVic Application (as above) or do we send it by email to lclerk2? I’ve seen two different instructions and want to make sure my application is submitted properly.

    I appreciate your help!

    Hello,
I am currently a grade 10 student and I was wondering what qualifications do I need to get in high school to apply to common law at UVIC?

Thanks for asking! The best way to find out all of the requirements for admission into either our JD or our JD/JID programs is to email Johnesha at lclerk2@uvic.ca.
