The LAP is a Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) program that supports educational success by connecting students with specialized tutors and learning strategists. The LAP provides one-to-one, specialized, and personalized academic support.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Orientation is an essential<\/em> piece of the LAP Process! The purpose of this orientation is to welcome you to our program and give you an opportunity to ask questions. There is no cost associated with the orientation meeting and it usually takes about 30 minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For students who haven\u2019t used LAP before, you must complete a free orientation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Orientation is delivered by an LAP Coordinator in a group-based setting<\/em><\/strong>, remotely via Zoom. The group-based model means that you will be attending an online orientation meeting with other new LAP students.<\/p>\n

You are welcome to keep your camera off throughout the session. You can also enter questions you may have into the chat if you don’t feel comfortable speaking.<\/em><\/p>\n

New LAP students must complete the LAP orientation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We cannot connect you with a tutor or learning strategist until your orientation is complete. <\/strong><\/p>\n

To confirm that you have completed orientation, you will be prompted to submit a post-orientation reflection (link and QR code is provided at the end of each group-orientation session).\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
