University Systems has designed a study to help us better understand the online experience of students and employees at UVic as they go about their daily activities.

We would like to invite you to participate in our research study exploring the following identity management themes:

1. Your personal identity and information at UVic

2. Use of online UVic services and systems

3. Trust in technology, security and privacy at UVic

We are looking for participants who are current students and employees at UVic. Your participation will help University Systems to understand how people feel about the status of these themes and how we can improve on them for more satisfying experiences at the University.

We will be asking participants to take part in two separate sessions starting in the last week of January 2014, and there will be an optional incentive reward given upon completion of each activity. One session will be a 90 minute group session located on the UVic campus and the other will be a 60 minute individual interview with a subset of the group participants, which will take place in their personal work or study environment (home, office). Participants must agree to participate in the group session and be available to participate in the individual session if chosen by the research team. Each session will be videotaped and participants will be asked to sign a consent form.

If you are interested in taking part in this research or would like some more information, please email bthor@uvic.ca. Your participation is greatly appreciated and we look forward to hearing from you!
