Call for Applications for COVID-19 Emergency Tuition Bursary
The IMN-PN hopes that you and all your relations are staying healthy and safe during these times. We understand that graduate students who are in the data collection, data analysis and/or writing phase of their research may be impacted by the measures taken to stop the spread of COVID-19. To continue to support students, the IMN-PN has allocated $25,000 in funds to help Indigenous graduate students who were planning to defend in the summer term of 2020, but will now need to pay an additional term because of the suspension of research activities or from other effects of COVID-19.
Eligibility: The COVID-19 Emergency Tuition Bursary is available to currently enrolled Indigenous graduate students who are completing a thesis/dissertation at a university in British Columbia. The bursary is specifically for those who are in the data collection, data analysis and/or writing phase of their research, and who were planning to defend sometime between May-August 2020, but now have to pay an additional term to finish their program because of COVID-19.
Amount: One term tuition fees up to $1200
Application Package: A complete application includes: 1) Application Form, 2) IMN-PN Registration Survey (if not already a member), 3) Proof of enrollment and 4) Letter from your supervisor that confirms the stage of your research and the need for an additional term.
