This week we chose to put together our section on the Battle of Hastings. We wanted to provide a synthesis of the history surrounding the battle and the circumstances that followed. We will then go into its connection to the Bayeux Tapestry.
This sub-section will have three main concepts we’ll cover:
- The context of Hastings before the battle
- The battle itself and its main players
- The impact of this enormous event (and why someone might want to make a tapestry dedicated to it)
