About

Students present their Honours project in a conference-style poster session to select faculty judges, explaining complex research in a logical and engaging way.

Every year UVic Science undergraduate Honours students are invited to participate in Honours Fest. Two semesters of intensive research culminate in one presentation!

Students present their research project in a conference-style poster session to select faculty judges who grade them on scientific thought and creativity, interactive skills, the dramatic value of their poster and video in general, and the ability to explain complex research in a logical and engaging way.

The event is open to the public so students have the opportunity to share their hard work with friends and family, UVic mentors, and science enthusiasts in the Greater Victoria community.

In addition to hands-on experience presenting their research, students also get to compete to win one of nine cash prizes!

The prizes are available thanks to the generosity of Dr. Fritz Boehm.
