The History section of our website provides detail on the Rainbow’s actions before and during the First World War. It also examines the legacy the Rainbow left with the Canadian navy, as well as the impact the ship had on British Columbia and its coastal communities.
The section employed numerous secondary sources, as well as primary sources such as newspapers and transcripts from the ship’s log. These invaluable transcripts were typed out by Admiral Patrick Brock, and are stored in the Maritime Museum of British Columbia’s library archives. For more information on the sources please visit our bibliography.
