On Thursday, June 22, Dr. Woodin, Emily Spargo, Mitchell Gaudry, and Ellie Curry took part in year 2 of BC Consensus Building Day – exploring the intersections of brain injury, mental health, and addictions, with a focus on intimate partner violence and brain injury. As a co-lead researcher on the project, Dr. Woodin sat on a panel of experts and was joined by community stakeholders and survivors on brain injury intersecting with IPV. Emily, Mitchell, and Ellie assisted with event organization and moderating roundtable discussions throughout the day.
Congratulations to Research Assistant, Michela who has received the UVic Faculty of Social Sciences Above and Beyond Award for her volunteering and leadership as Co-President of the Rotaract Club. A fellow student noted that “she makes our community a better place with her passion and heart to help others.” Thank you, Michela, for also giving your time to our lab!

Our Lab Coordinator, Emily has officially accepted an offer of admission to the Clinical Psychology PhD program at the University of Utah! She will be joining one of our lab alum Robyn Kilshaw in Salt Lake City to work under Dr. Brian Baucom’s supervision.
