Where Care Learned to Speak acknowledges the lands on which it is imagined, queried, and recorded, the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt) and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples. These lands are colonially known as Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It is important that to note the broader commitment of this podcast, grounded in decolonial and social just practices, which recognizes that colonial histories and their ongonig impacts are not limited to these lands, but are global in nature. This awareness matters in how we listen, how we interpret, and how we come to understand the stories held in Where Care Learned to Speak.
