Nanaimo resident, Aimee Chalifoux, is an Indigenous literacy coordinator with Literacy Central Vancouver Island. She has supported Indigenous and marginalized communities for more than 25 years and is now being recognized for her work with the Breaking Barriers Award for anti-racism initiatives in BC.
