Work with the community garden coordinator to organize a visit to the community garden and work on the land – grow/plant native plants, removing invasive species (the specific activity should be decided in conversation with the community garden coordinator – ccgarden@uvic.ca).

In coordination with the community garden coordinator (or community engagement office at UVic – communityresearch@uvic.ca), also address topics of – how to potentially work with community partners? How can teachers bring community and people from communities into the classroom? How can the conversation between the two be facilitated?
