Climate change is a burning topic of the world we live in and it is one of the topics that can prop up multiple questions. Questions that can be individual, systemic, scientific, social, economic or ecological.
Through this activity, we will create a space to ask these questions and see who else is thinking about similar things.
Steps:
- Think about questions pertaining to climate change that occur to you or that make you wonder about our world.
- Share your questions in a small group by saying “I wonder….” and completing your sentence with the questions you have. Remember this is not a space where you are seeking answers, but just a space where you share your concerns with the group.
- Put these questions down and share them on the digital whiteboard – https://miro.com/
- Reflect on all the questions that are written on the digital whiteboard and reflect “Which question chose me?”
- Recommendation: Please incorporate a walk while engaging in this part of the activity. Feel free to take your class outside and engage in this second part of the reflection. Go back to your encounter activity and reflect – Does this question that chose me connect to my encounter? If so, how and why?
- Share your question and the connection with the encounter activity in small groups followed by a large group discussion.
