This activity involves either holding a panel discussion of teachers, community leaders and practitioners that speaks to the idea of how to break out of the silos of climate change education in institutions and ways to engage in pedagogy of hope by practicing land-based learning in classrooms.
Another possibility is to plan a school classroom visit where students can see climate change education in action through an interdisciplinary lens.
The activity will have to be planned with the teacher educator and can be expanded on further.
Follow up activity:
Based on the panel discussion/classroom engagement learners brainstorm ideas on how to incorporate climate change education into their classrooms. This is just a preliminary ideation of possible lesson planning that learners will be building on in the following session.
