Kiri Daust

Kiri Daust is a MSc student studying with Adam Monahan. Kiri’s research investigates the use of Generative Adversarial Networks (a type of deep learning) for statistical downscaling of climate variables, with the hope that this can be an accurate and computationally efficient method. He is also working part time as a data scientist with the BC Ministry of Forests, developing a software package to facilitate access to downscaled climate data for North America. In his spare time, Kiri likes playing dramatic violin music, jamming with friends, and baking with lots of butter.
