I moved out to the West Coast from Toronto in September to pursue my Masters in Earth and Ocean Sciences with a focus on Climate Science. Originally planning to go into Environmental law, I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with Honours in both Environmental Studies and Legal. Now I am working with Andrew Weaver on my thesis which is focused on ocean alkalinity enchantment. We are using the UVic Climate Model to determine if adding hydrated lime (Calcium Carbonate) to the Ocean would offset atmospheric CO2 emissions on a global scale.
