In the next six years, the Public Health Agency of Canada expects traumatic brain injury (TBI) to become one of the most common neurological conditions affecting Canadians. This makes the need for accessible and reliable therapies more urgent than ever. The Christie Lab is currently investigating Neurotracker, a 3D Multiple Object Tracking program, to determine its potential benefits for TBI survivors. My research focuses on how Neurotracker may influence levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a potential biomarker of learning, in adults with mild to severe TBI.
